- Design and develop sheet metal enclosures and copper bus systems using SolidWorks.
- Generate detailed manufacturing drawings and submittals from 3D CAD models.
- Interpret and apply project-specific codes and standards (UL 891, 1558, 508A; IEEE C37.20, etc.).
- Collaborate with fabrication teams to ensure manufacturability and resolve design issues.
- Support reverse engineering efforts and library build-outs for standardization and custom fabrication.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including sales, field engineers, and production.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred; Associate degree with 2+ years of relevant experience considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing low/medium voltage power distribution equipment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of three-phase power systems, power distribution, and protection strategies.
- Excellent communication, technical writing, and organizational skills.
- Experience with UL 891 standards and apply project-specific codes and standards (UL 891, 1558, 508A; IEEE C37.20, etc.).
- Experience with reverse engineering and new product development.

The work environment is a manufacturing setting where the candidate will collaborate with the production team, being the sole engineer as the team continues to expand. Currently, sheet metal fabrication is conducted off-site, with plans to bring operations to Ontario once staffing allows.
