Health and Safety Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Health and Safety Administrator to support our Health, Safety, and Training operations at a high-paced mining site. This role is critical in maintaining our Safety Management System (SMS), managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and industrial hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, inspections, and training.
  • Standardize hazard identification, risk assessments, and controls across departments.
  • Consolidate and report on health and safety risks, injuries, and property damage.
  • Manage employee and contractor training programs, including documentation and training matrix updates.
  • Support incident investigations and root cause analysis reporting.
  • Administer and configure safety software systems (e.g., SiteDocs), including form creation and analytics.
  • Prepare and distribute safety communications such as emails, posters, and handbills.
  • Ensure quality assurance and control of safety data across integrated systems.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE administrative role.
  • Experience in mining or oil and gas industries is required.
  • Completion of secondary school required; post-secondary diploma in Administration preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proven ability in records management and electronic filing systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to create ad hoc reports and dashboards; Power BI experience is an asset.
  • Experience with SiteDocs or similar HSE management platforms (e.g., INX, Cority).
  • Familiarity with SAP for safety and training data integration.
Work Environment

This position is based at a high-paced mining site with Fly-In Fly-Out arrangements. Accommodation is provided in a camp setting with an LOA (Living Out Allowance) available.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $55.00/hr.
