JOB REQUIREMENTS: SHINE Technologies is seeking a Lead Project Engineerto drive the design and delivery of custom nuclear hardware systemswithin the Systems and Manufacturing group. This role demands deeptechnical expertise, hands-on design and systems integration capability,and proactive leadership throughout the entire product lifecyclefromconcept through delivery. This engineer will act as a technicalauthority and integrator across mechanical, electrical, software, andnuclear subsystems, ensuring solutions are optimized for performance,manufacturability, safety, and compliance. They will own delivery of thetechnical scope and work as the project lead to ensure engineeringexecution aligns with project timelines, budgets, and customerexpectations. The base salary range for this position is\$120,000-\$183,000 per year plus a comprehensive compensation package.Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. KeyResponsibilities: Lead the end-to-end technical execution of complex,multidisciplinary custom systems, ensuring alignment with program goals,customer needs, and regulatory standards. Develop technical workbreakdown structures, system architectures, interface definitions, andvalidation plans. Drive detailed design activities, peer reviews, andintegration strategies across engineering disciplines, and ensureeffective collaboration with manufacturing and supply chain. Act as thetechnical point of contact with internal and external stakeholders,translating customer requirements into actionable design inputs andensuring timely resolution of technical issues. Proactively identify andmitigate technical and schedule risks, maintaining awareness of criticalpath items and making strategic adjustments in partnership with projectmanagement. Support or lead scheduling, resource planning, and progresstracking; contribute engineering input to project reviews and statusreporting. Mentor junior engineers and act as a force multiplier for theteam through leadership, coaching, and fostering a culture ofaccountability and technical excellence. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, NuclearEngineering, or a closely related field preferred; advanced degreehighly preferred. 8+ years of relevant experience in a high-complexity,regulated, multidisciplinary product development environment preferred.Demonstrated ownership of full system designs from concept throughdelivery preferred. Strong systems thinking with practical design,analysis, and integration experience. Familiarity with basic projectmanagement principles (scheduling, resource estimation, riskmitigation). Proficiency in CAD tools, FEA, and design documentationbest practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, withthe ability to lead cross-functional teams and interface effectivelywith customers and stakeholders. Experience in a highly regulated orsafety-critical industry (nuclear, aerospace, defense, medical) is astrong plus.
