Estimator - Glass & Door Industry Location: Appleton, WI (preferred) | Green Bay, WI (considered) Pay Rate: $24-$30/hour (depending on experience) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (flexibility available) Type: Full-time | In-office Trillium Construction is currently seeking an Estimator to join our client's growing team. This is a full-time, in-office position, preferably based in Appleton, WI , with consideration for Green Bay, WI candidates. Our client is a locally-owned and 100% employee-owned company that has served Wisconsin and Upper Michigan since 1960. They provide a full range of glass and door services across residential, commercial, and automotive markets. Their offerings include windshield repair, window replacement, shower door installations, screen enclosures, and commercial solutions such as automatic and interior door systems. Position Summary: The Estimator is responsible for supporting business development by creating accurate, competitive job estimates based on architectural plans and specifications. This role requires clear communication with internal teams, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: Maintain consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to define scope of work Use estimating software to generate timely and accurate estimates Prepare detailed material and labor cost breakdowns with appropriate markups Collaborate with sales and project teams to align estimates with project goals Ensure timely completion and distribution of estimates Visit job sites as needed to collect relevant information Solicit quotes from vendors or subcontractors to support final cost estimates Select appropriate metrics and methods for efficient estimating Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Associate degree is a plus Previous estimating experience in construction or manufacturing preferred Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, and Word is a plus Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and project specifications Experience in commercial installation or fabrication is beneficial Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines Self-motivated and detail-oriented Work Environment: This role is primarily based in an office environment, with some exposure to shop or warehouse settings as needed.
