Equipment Operator

We have an immediate position available for a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Landfill in Houston, TX. Landfill is located at 4107 S Sam Houston Pkwy W Houston, TX 77053. In this position you will be operating our Dozers, Excavators, Compactor, along with trucks and smaller equipment at our solid waste landfill.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Spreading and compacting trash using a compactor
Spreading daily cover using a Dozer
Excavating soil using a excavator
Maintaining haul roads using a grader
Hauling soil
Work in a fast paced, team environment
Follow safe operating practices
Learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.
The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Valid drivers license.
Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
