Intermediate-Senior Mechanical Engineer - Hybrid - Rochester travel to client sites 25% Pay range for this role ranges from $110,000-$140,000 annually depending on level of relative experience. We're seeking a full-time Intermediate-Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our expanding team and contribute to the design and management of mechanical projects in the bio industrial and food & beverage industries. We believe in a flexible working environment that values work-life balance while encouraging efficiency and creativity on a daily basis.The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be driven to lead projects independently and have experience in developing conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs, drawings, and specifications for the following disciplines: Process utility engineering (chilled water, cooling water, steam, compressed air and others) supporting industrial processes Producing P&ID's, lines and valve lists, schedules, etc. Mechanical and Piping (HVAC systems, dust collection, controls) Plumbing and Piping (plumbing systems, specialty gases) Fire Protection (performance specifications) The Senior Mechanical Engineer will: Manage and quality review of deliverables and project execution Utility piping, plumbing and mechanical design Assess the requirements of projects, break them into tasks, and work with the Project Managers to determine the scope of work, budget, and staffing within the discipline Write the scope of work for mechanical or utility design based on preliminary review and meetings with the clients Prepare engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems and analyze the operation of existing systems. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering 6+ years of design engineering experience Knowledge of industrial process utilities, HVAC and experience with central utilities including steam, chilled water and compressed air systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience in engineering consulting in the food and beverage manufacturing or pharmaceutical manufacturing industries Design of material handling and dust collection systems an asset Solid knowledge of mechanical codes and standards including ASHRAE, ACGIH and NFPA. #LI-Hybrid Send us your application today.
