Journeyman Plumber (Union)

Misa Plumbing, a Union company, is seeking an experienced journeyman plumber to join the team.

This is a union position. B Division.

Journeyman Plumber Responsibilities :

• Installs, repairs, and maintains pipe systems, drains, ducts, and related fittings and fixtures for water, sewage, and drainage in plumbing systems
• Reads blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of water supply, waste disposal, and material needed
• Installs gas appliances, dishwashers and water heaters, sinks and toilets, measures, cuts, bends, and threads pipes using hand and power tools or machines
• Detects faults in plumbing appliances and systems and diagnoses their causes
• Other duties upon request

Journeyman Plumber Qualifications :

• Operator Qualified
• 86 - 87 Full Gas Work Qualification Card Required
• S12 - S13 Certificates Required
• F60 - G60 Certificates Required
• Experience with and knowledge of backflow, boilers, and pumps
• Must have a valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles
• Certified backflow tester a plus

Physical Requirements :

• Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis
• Prolonged standing and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching on a daily basis
• Requires a full range of physical motion in order to operate manual and electrically-powered tools and plumbing equipment
• Must be able to climb stairs frequently
• Work is performed indoors and out-of-doors, occasionally in environments that are dusty, noisy, or which could have work hazards
