The Business Development Manager, Strategic Accounts, works to improve an organizations market position and achieve financial growth. This person defines long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market opportunities and conditions.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Prospects for new customers by using consultative selling skills to identify specific needs. Prepares comprehensive and impactful proposals/presentations designed to deliver solutions to customer needs and persuasively presents solutions-based offering
- Develops growth strategies and plans by fostering productive business relationships with prospective customers that builds individual customer trust and confidence in the Watts solutions.
- Understands target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract clients
- Identifies, evaluates and executes global business opportunities and partnerships, with focused efforts in N. America.
- Sets and executes the vision, strategy and tactical focus for new strategic partnerships that will drive revenue success.
- Advises the organization and helps in the development and execution of service programs.
- Monitors and maintains thorough understanding of external environment by continuous interaction with our Manufacturing Representative network.
- Identify opportunities to fulfill Company strategy.
- Resolves conflicts and facilitates changes amongst peer groups to ensure expedient resolution of channel conflict and other organizational challenges and opportunities.
- Works closely with Watts brands to achieve long-term and short-term revenue and profit goals.
- Establishes and maintains an effective system of communications throughout the organization.
EDUCATION : BSME degree required, Business acumen or MBA preferred.
MANAGEMENT : Engineering and project management of Engage, turn-key business for Strategic Account customers.
The expected salary range for this position is $132K- $148K yearly, plus up to 20% bonus. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 7+ years experience working in an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) engineering and/or project management role.
- PE license preferred
- Developed presentation skills to interact with people at all levels and functions inside and outside the company.
- Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Project management skills
- Ability to provide technical insight into Watts product line and solutions offerings; familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Creativity and an upbeat, positive attitude.
- Ability to perform on a strategic and tactical level.
- Computer efficiency Intermediate level in MS Office.
- Ability to travel to field sites - Travel up to 65%.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. This role consists of extended periods of sitting, standing, stooping and walking and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. This position requires the ability to move throughout the plant, office areas, and up and down stairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. When on the shop floor, this position also required the ability to follow safety procedures including: PPE (Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes), Potential Hazards - Bending and Ergonomics - Follow correct lifting procedures.

- Work in office environment with occasional exposure to a manufacturing/factory environment
- May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
- Travel: up to 65%
