General Tasks & Duties:
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace for pipefitting projects.
- Uphold a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Track project progress, costs, and tasks through organized daily job files.
- Assist Superintendent and Project Manager with reports, schedules, and subcontractor coordination.
- Optimize schedules and priorities for profitability and efficiency.
- Set and communicate clear daily goals for pipefitting crews.
- Ensure pipefitters meet or exceed objectives.
- Submit accurate timesheets promptly.
- Verify on-site availability of pipefitting materials and supplies.
- Perform pipefitting tasks to support crew and project needs.
- Monitor progress against plans and specifications, ensuring timely, high-quality completion.
- Verify system functionality throughout projects.
- Enforce pipefitting-specific safety standards.
- Train and guide team members on pipefitting techniques.
- Report project status regularly to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Maintain and secure pipefitting tools and equipment.
- Suggest improvements to pipefitting services.
- Perform assigned duties in compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues to prevent project delays or disruptions.
- Conduct physical site surveys with the Superintendent to assess conditions and provide written reports to the Project Manager as needed.
- Perform accurate and timely takeoffs for projects in collaboration with the Superintendent.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site activities, including scheduling, material management, and equipment rentals.
- Provide daily job completion percentage updates to track progress.
- Ensure weekly reports, including safety/toolbox talks, preconstruction, production, and project-specific documentation, are completed and submitted on time.
- Conduct inspections to ensure work meets IC Mechanical's quality standards and project specifications.
- Participate in project start-ups and coordinate with contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and owners as required.
- Collaborate with the shop to schedule production and deliveries efficiently.

Employment Requirements:
- High school diploma; pipefitting training required. 4+ years of pipefitting experience; journeyman status or ability to obtain a license required.
- Basic literacy and math skills. Ability to read blueprints and prepare accurate material lists.
- Valid Pipefitter License (or equivalent).
- Skill in assessing work quality.
- Composure under pressure.
- Full mobility and ability to lift 50 pounds; frequent bending, standing, and walking on uneven terrain or in confined spaces; safely climb ladders.
- Strong hearing, vision, and spatial skills.
- Mechanical aptitude for pipefitting systems.
- Ability to train and manage pipefitters efficiently.
- Competence in scheduling and resource planning.
- Experience with government facilities is highly desirable.
