un Plumber Needed - Replace Old Galvanized Pipes with PEX (Kenosha WI) image 1 of 3 compensation: $500 I need a licensed plumber or very experienced handyman to update my washer hookup in the basement. The current setup is 50+ years old (galvanized pipes, utility sink, and old hammer arrestors). I want everything replaced with a clean, modern setup. Scope of Work: Remove approx. 50 of old galvanized hot & cold lines. Replace with PEX lines (red/hot, blue/cold). Install 2 shutoff valves (1 hot, 1 cold). Install 2 Sioux Chief appliance water hammer arrestors (one on each line, right above shutoff valves). Connect washer hoses directly to new shutoff valves. Remove the utility sink. Install a new 2 PVC standpipe (18-30 tall) for washer discharge, secured to wall and tied into the existing floor drain line. Materials: You provide and purchase all materials (PEX, fittings, valves, arrestors, PVC standpipe, etc.). I will pay separately for materials. Labor: Flat $500 cash for labor.
