JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Full time, 2nd Shift, 3:30 pm-12 am Action Group Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a company in Owasso Salary: $65,000.00+ DOE Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree preferred.
3+ years of supervisory experience in meat processing, food production, or a related manufacturing industry.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Experience with PLCs, frequency drives, DC devices, temperature controls, and transducers.
Skilled in plumbing and pipefitting, including threading and sweating.
Capable of troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems using schematics and observation.
Proficient in welding and cutting with TIG, MIG, acetylene, and plasma tools.
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
Thorough knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Familiarity with production equipment and related processes.
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Effective written and verbal communication in English; bilingual a plus.
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervise the maintenance team, offering direction and support to ensure optimal performance.
Plan, schedule, and assign maintenance tasks to guarantee timely completion of work orders.
Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.
Perform routine inspections of machinery and equipment to detect potential issues early.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in processing equipment.
Lead repair activities, ensuring safe execution in accordance with industry regulations and standards.
Ensure all maintenance operations comply with safety, health, and environmental requirements.
Conduct safety training and promote a culture of safety across the maintenance team.
Manage the department's budget, including cost forecasting and expense control.
Identify cost-reduction opportunities through efficient maintenance strategies.
Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to reduce downtime and meet production goals.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment performance.
Generate maintenance reports and present key metrics to management.
Train and mentor maintenance staff in best practices, emerging technologies, and safety standards.
Encourage continuous improvement within the maintenance function.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role includes overall responsibility for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of the maintenance team.
Duties involve interviewing, hiring, and training staff; organizing workflow; assigning tasks; evaluating performance; administering rewards and disciplinary actions; addressing concerns; and resolving issues, all in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
