If you're a results-driven engineer who excels at bringing complex mechanical designs to life, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. A growing engineering and manufacturing team is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to support the final phase of a high-impact military simulation project. This is a 6-month contract role, with potential for a longer-term opportunity depending on performance and hiring needs at the conclusion of the project. The position is focused on hands-on design validation, documentation, and integration. You'll be joining an active project with established designs and will play a key role in bringing it across the finish line.

Responsibilities:
Finalize and validate mechanical designs for simulation systems, ensuring all parts and subassemblies fit and function correctly within larger modules

Create and update detailed CAD drawings in SolidWorks, with a strong focus on design precision and manufacturability

Apply GD&T standards to engineering drawings for accurate tolerancing and production alignment across machined parts, sheet metal, weldments, additive components, and COTS hardware

Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools as needed to confirm design performance

Generate technical reports and engineering documentation to support project milestones and design decisions

Collaborate with internal engineering teams throughout the design refinement and integration process

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field

5+ years of experience in mechanical design or related project work

Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software

Experience with GD&T and FEA tools preferred

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict engineering standards

Ability to work on-site full time in the Tulsa, OK area

Bachelors

Must be willing & able to pass a background check and drug screen.
