POSITION SUMMARY

The Welder has primary responsibilities of performing welding (TIG & MIG) duties both effectively and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Efficiently and effectively perform welding (TIG, MIG), soldering, forming, sawing, shearing, polishing, roll form or break press activities per each job order.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Use welding and fabrication principles and techniques.
• Program and operate a robotic welder.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to specifically determine weld requirements.
• Use precision measuring equipment for quality assurance of parts.
• Prep welding jigs and make fixture jigs.
• Complete accurate documentation as required.
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards
• Leverage the core values and culture to drive accountability and engagement
• Represent high level of ethical, intellectual, professional, and personal values that complement the team
• Promote cooperation within the team and between teams
• Additional responsibilities and projects as may be assigned relevant to the position

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required

EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

• Two or more years of related experience required.
• MIG & TIG weld experience required.
• Robotic welder experience preferred.
• Strong fabrication skills.
• Experience working in distribution and manufacturing preferred.
• Effective communication skills in both verbal and written form.
• Exhibit good work habits and willingness to work extended hours to complete a job when required to meet deadlines
• Demonstrate adaptability to a challenging and developing environment, and willingness to take on new responsibilities as the business evolves.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Working extended and flexible hours may be requested occasionally.
